VICE x Team Based in our London office, the Finance department is a newly centralised shared services team for EMEA who play a busy and vital role within the VICE Media Group. Role x You As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will be the main point of contact between the Finance and Production teams and you will work closely with both the UK Finance Managers/Controller and Head of Production to provide an efficient and accurate service. You will also support our Account Executives with branded content master projects and hold responsibility for all bank reconciliations across all the UK entities. Responsibilities * Assist Finance Manager/ Management Accountant with producing the monthly management accounts for multiple entities, including bank reconciliations, journal entries and other reconciliations * Reconciling the Bank Accounts and chasing AR & AR team for timely postings including updating the G-sheet weekly. Querying transactions with treasury, as required, in a timely manner. Ensure all reconciling items are investigated and resolved including VEHL sweeps and accrued sweep interest * Responsible for the Fixed Assets Register including additions and disposals and running month end depreciation * Monitoring production expenditure and projections against budget - responsible for cost reports, reviewing cost managers and reporting systems, ensuring that production expenditure is continually monitored and managed against the budget and fed into the month end reports. * Helping production set up cost managers for new productions based on budget provided by production managers * Liaising with Finance Managers and Production Team to ensure new project codes are set up * Cost Managers reconciliation: Running ledger reports for each production project code and reviewing costs included in the cost managers trackers against the system. * Review the production accruals with the FM's to ensure appropriate back-ups/support. * Monitoring production expenditure and projections against budget. Assist with reconciling costs to complete vs accruals in Netsuite at month end * Updating Payroll Sheets on the Cost Manager for all Fixed Term Contract staff with new starters or contract amendments in order to get cost coded against the correct projects including journaling the costs across to correct projects * Statutory requirements: assist with year-end audit and statutory processes. * Assisting the Finance Managers and Management Accountant with ad hoc queries Experience * Newly qualified / part-qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 1-2 years of experience in management accounting and financial analysis * Production accounting highly desirable * Experienced gained within a busy and fluid media / creative environment would be preferable * You will have experience in business partnering and communicate with finance & non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately for all International regions * Strong system and Excel skills You have these * You will need to be highly organised, detail oriented and meticulous * Proven experience of working to tight deadlines; working effectively under pressure * Capable of working independently without being micro-managed.
