Job Description
Assistant Operations Manager - Swinton - up to £30k My client is a successful training provider based in Swinton Manchester. They deliver courses in health and social care, education and wellbeing sectors they are looking to recruit an Assistant Operation Manager to take over the day to day running of the business. Duties include: * To understand, direct and coordinate the operations activities to achieve its objective of being a successful and profitable organisation in line with company's long term goals * To develop and manage efficient processes to ensure smooth running of the day to day operations and delivery of services. * To manage and co-ordinate the operational activities, procedures and processes required by the funders of the various contracts and income streams (including GMCA AEB, ESFA, ESF, full cost) * To explore alternative sources of income generation * To co-ordinate, provide and support services to all stakeholders * To improve the performance of business delivery * To ensure funding is maximised * To manage and maintain effective communication with staf fMain Job Tasks and Responsibilities * Report to MD all operations activities proactively * Plan, prepare and direct project delivery implementation and scheduling plans and ensure that the various work streams within it are delivering in line with the funders * Ensuring that the work environment is productive and organised, and that systems and procedures are adhered to * Manage the workflows including objective setting and monitoring performance of the contracts * Manage, communicate and liaise with staff within the business and ensure company objectives are aligned * Ensure customer service satisfaction is met and the company maintain excellent client relationships * Participate in all training and staff development opportunities * Work in line with company policies * Work flexibly to meet the requirements of the organisation * Any other duties of a similar level of responsibility, as required Education and Experience * Educated to a degree level or equivalent * Proven track record of working in Further Education * Proven track record of operations Key Competencies * Self-starter and ability to make things happen * Leadership and management skills * Planning and organising skills, scheduling and managing work flows * Methodical and attention to detail * Problem solving * Influencing and negotiation skills * Adaptability * Ability to build and maintain excellent rapport with key stakeholders * Excellent written skills * Excellent IT skills * Excellent communicator and negotiator * Resilience and self-motivated * Ability to prepare coherent reports * Goal driven * Car owner available for business use * valid MOT * * Valid business use insurance policy * Valid UK driving licence * Other requirements * The hours of work are 40 hours per week Mon to Fri * Hours of work 8.30am to 5.30pm
