Job Description
Network and Security Analyst Full time permananet position based in Basildon. Reporting to our Head of IT, this is a cross functional role, primarily you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the business infrastructure, systems and security, across multiple sites and advising the business of threats and safeguards. The secondary part of the role is to support the IT service desk with second and third line support, helping to up-skill and train the team in new systems or processes. You will be assisting the Head of IT with network management, monitoring, researching and testing new technologies and assisting the service desk teams. Other key responsibilities include: * Security, firewall and infrastructure management, effective WSUS and patch management, sophos endpoint security, remote access + mobility solutions. * Monthly MI Report, Daily/weekly monitoring. * Management of back-up process - Office 365 * Management of Windows servers, Office 365 environment. * Installation and configuration of existing and new hardware and software (back-end). * Testing / UAT. * Effective roll-out and release procedures * Documentation management for current and new procedures. Person Specification We are looking for experienced applicants with strong technical and problem solving skills. You will also need to have: * Office 365 experience. * Cyber Essentials and penetration/social engineering testing experience. * ERP/MRP/CRP experience. * Effective Security Management skills. * Patch management experience, Microsoft WSUS. * Power/UPS management. * Infrastructure monitoring tools, Solarwinds Orion or similar. * Azure/Office 365 Security & Compliance. * MS Windows Server & Desktop, all current supported versions. * EPR/MRP Sage x3 administration. * Firewall, port management and bandwidth monitoring. * Strong technology landscape and app support. * ITIL qualified, foundation, Service Deign/Transition would be desirable. * Strong experience in Microsoft Collaboration technologies focusing on SharePoint Online. * Service desk/management software, Track-it, PDQ Deploy.
