Job Description

We are looking for a Young People Coach to join our amazing team based in Basildon on a Full Time basis. The working pattern for this role is based on a four-week set rolling rota, consisting of early shifts 7.15 am - 3.30 pm, and late shifts 2.00 pm - 10.15 pm. As a result of Swan Housing Association's strong commitment to providing Housing Support Services, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join us at our young person scheme in Basildon. If you are passionate about unlocking the potential of young people and supporting them to be the best that they can be, we are looking for you! You will be working with single homeless young people and single young parents aged 18 - 25. You will be supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations and to develop skills to enable move on to successful and independent living. Within this role you will be supporting our young people to: * Set up and maintain utilities * Complete budget plans * Advise and support with education and employment * Roll out exciting weekly activities and events * Unlock their potential and encourage them to fulfil their dreams For the above post you will: * Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a support worker role or similar * Be an excellent communicator * Be passionate about working with young people * Be inspirational, creative & positive * Understand the importance of professional boundaries We offer fantastic benefits including Pension, Life Assurance, BUPA Private Healthcare and much more.
