Due to our continued success and following the construction of our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we are now looking for several Operating Technicians to work within our automated manufacturing department. The manufacturing environment is a fast paced and dynamic workplace offering the opportunity to join a high performing team with a strong focus on continuous improvement. As a shift based Operating Technician, you will be responsible for the operational setup, operation, control, monitoring of high speed manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard operating methods to meet SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements. Does this sound like you? If so, this could be your next role! Responsibilities: You will contribute to the manufacture of pharmaceuticals to GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Keep detailed and accurate records of all work undertaken, ensuring that all records are clear, concise and legible at all times to enable for full repetition and traceability as per Good Documentation Practice (GDP). Build a safe working environment by working within SHE risk assessments, following Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments and adhering to method statements. You will demonstrate the capabilities to drive and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) with the focus on changeover standardisation and improvement, run rate efficiency and improving yields. To improve the lines performance, you will collect, analyse and act on data to drive continuous improvements. Own local machine and changeover standards taking responsibility for adherence, accuracy and improvement. Demonstrate basic fault finding in response to a manufacturing equipment set-up, running and repeat adjustments (through mentored relationship with Engineering Technician). Essential Skills: * Secondary education or equivalent * Computer literate (basic knowledge of Outlook) * Proven problem-solving skills * Experience of working within a highly regulated environment Desirable Skills: * Significant and relevant experience of changeover and setup practices within a highly regulated environment * Knowledge of IT Systems where appropriate * Demonstrated continuous improvement skills * Experience of Pharmaceutical Operations * Knowledge of GMP and SHE requirements * Working experience of a manufacturing equipment * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline In return you will receive a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, excellent training and development, as well as an exciting career within a fast paced and dynamic business.
