Position: - Cost Analyst OTM Contract Division: - Rail Services Location: - Rugby Reporting to: - National Operations Manager / Regional Operations Manager Purpose of the Role To ensure all costs associated with the OTM contract are closely controlled and accurate. To ensure all financial and procurement processes involved with OTM contract (such as creating purchase orders, invoicing, goods return/received etc.) are carried out correctly and on time, this duty will involve a thorough understanding of the RedSky Summit system. To find efficiencies in expenditure on the OTM contract across all regions, by better sourcing suppliers and managing the materials or services being received from existing ones. Key Tasks * Monitor all financial processes on the Summit system aligned with the OTM contract and ensure the Regional Operations Managers are following all processes correctly and on time. * Work with Regional Operations Managers to ensure all costs are captured and are accurate. * Work with the OTM support functions (Planning, Finance, Engineering, Fleet, etc.) to ensure all costs aligned with the OTM contract are accurate * Work with the Commercial team in order to reconcile costs against profit on the OTM contract * Produce periodic cost reports for the OTM contract for use in the OTM CVRs. * Analyse periodic cost report with Regional Operations Manager * Keep meticulous records of the costs associated with the OTM contract and ensure they are accessible by the Regional Operations Managers * Ensure that the services and materials being supplied from external suppliers represent the best value for money * Work with the Procurement Department and identify external suppliers that can offer improved service or better value for money than current ones * Work with Regional Operations Manager to find ways of improving the current financial processes on the OTM contract * Work as directed by the National Operations Manager / Regional Operations Managers * Provide cover as directed Principle Contacts * Regional Operations Managers OTM Contract * National Operations Manager * Finance Department * Maintenance & Engineering Department * Commercial Department * Planning Department * Procurement Department * External Suppliers Require Experienced, Qualification and Skills * Computer Literacy Word / Excel / Power Point * Excellent communication skills * Exceptional organisational skills * Experience of working with a team. * Summit proficient
