Job Description
Editec is a successful lottery and sports betting consultancy, supporting clients in over 25 countries across Africa. The company is fast growing, has doubled in size over the last 3 years, and has plans for further expansion. The company is globally recognised as a start-up specialist for gaming operations in emerging markets. This position leads the HR and Travel team which is located across London, Bucharest and Beirut but providing support across all of our offices in Europe, Lebanon and to our Operation Partners in Africa. Note that Recruitment is managed separately but the role is expected to have a close working partnership with the Head of Recruitment. Key Accountabilities * A strong and reliable administrative function; providing high quality customer service to all stakeholders across the full employment cycle; including Travel. * A data-driven HR delivery in line with Company strategy and needs * Generation of a key management data dashboard to support line management decision making. * Partnering the Chief of Staff and Head of Recruitment to ensure having the right people, in the right place, with the right skills, at the right time. Other Accountabilities * Manage People Issues on behalf of senior leader(s) and act as the senior * contact for the HR department. This is a role that takes accountability for HR Operational or transactional activities * Drive Talent Management to ensure seamless delivery of talent solutions to senior stakeholders, also you will be guiding and advising the Senior Leadership population on people related matters and technical HR related activity. * Building, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both in HR and the business to understand current HR priorities and associated risks. Responsibilities include: * HR Operations and Transactional focussed providing data and reports to demonstrate efficacy and department performance * Work on problem solving, mediation and resolving disputes before reaching senior leadership * Real authority over hiring and firing even if final decision rests with manager * People Analytics at the core reporting to COO on a regular basis * Detailed Succession Plan for Europe-based departments * Talent Strategy and development in Europe/Beirut (for clarity this rests with the CoS for African Operations) * Capability assessment vs market requirements * Gap closure plan to accelerate strategy (internal and external) * Reporting * Performance of Travel team Requirements * Proven Senior HBRP experience, CIPD qualified or equivalent qualification * Proven ability to manage remotely and operate in a matrix structure and deal with ambiguity * An ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation * Previous experience within Sports Betting, Gaming or Lotteries is highly advantageous. * Possess a distinct strategic perspective in order to influence Senior Leadership with demonstrable experience leading a people agenda * Diverse experience in project management with the ability to work on multiple projects * Proven track record of senior stakeholder management * Fluent in English. Fluency in French a distinct advantage
