Job Description

What we're looking for The Head of Marketing & Growth will be an innovative leader, with the creative heart of a storyteller, and analytical brain of a growth hacker. The newly created position will join the senior management team, and will conceive and execute ambitious brand, marketing and growth strategies to support both Forward Partners and its portfolio companies. Your work in this role will enable us to: * Attract the best entrepreneurs building the best companies by ensuring we are developing compelling marketing and communications that builds Forward Partners' brand awareness and trust amongst both potential founders we support as well as the wider venture ecosystem * Support our mission of being Londons leading and most admired venture firm by supporting our founders to embed ambitious growth marketing strategies and practices with a measurably positive impact * Accelerate our vision of building a world where every founder can realise their potential by sharing marketing and growth expertise across the broader venture ecosystem This is a rare opportunity to work with a great team to directly influence the success of a number of early stage startups as well as Forward Partners. Requirements What does success look like as our Head of Marketing & Growth? * Significant marketing experience where you have lead and developed a team with some experience at a fast growing startup or scale-up * You have demonstrable experience of using marketing and growth strategies to help startup companies grow at pace * You are a strategic and intuitive thinker that can move fast and adapt to our changing environment and competitive landscape * You're an innovator in marketing - continuously bring new ideas to the table from all categories and markets; we want you to explore your ideas and be bold, unafraid of taking risks when a situation demands * You'll conceive, plan and execute growth marketing strategies and tactics - driving acquisition, conversion and retention across digital, ATL, content, referral and influencer channels * You have a great understanding of what best in class metrics are and how to measure effectiveness * You have a strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, referral and affiliate marketing * You understand content marketing, ideally with experience working with influencers to drive brand and direct acquisition * You have experience working tier one PR channels to drive awareness and impact * You'll lead the marketing team to create the playbook for our tone, key messages and how we talk to the world * You have a naturally collaborative demeanour you are an influencer with gravitas and resilience that can operate at all levels from C suite to intern with an everything is possible attitude * You are highly numerate with a passion for data-driven decision making. Testing, learning and reporting form a core part of how you operate * You're highly productive and work well under pressure whilst dealing with multiple competing priorities * You enjoy the challenge of being scrappy and can accomplish a lot with little resource (as can often be the case with startups) * You're a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions & perspectives * You have excellent presentation skills and communication abilities.
