If so, Zenith are looking to for you join us where you will work as part of an experienced team who have delivered over 70 projects in 15 countries. You will be based in our head office in the heart of Aberdeen a 10 minute walk from the train station and 2 minutes from Union St. The role will be responsible for the technical aspects of well design as well as the legislative and regulatory permitting aspects of the well planning process and ensuring that all relevant bodies are notified in a timely manner. You will also lead the projects well engineering team in completing project specific deliverables The Role * Initial Well Planning: * Prepare Conceptual well designs * Complete Offset Well Review * Prepare Well concept durations and budgetary costings * Prepare directional well designs design concepts * Prepare and organize Risk Assessments for design concepts * Identify Regulatory Permitting requirements and prepare submissions * Identify Engineering Studies and issue RFQ to vendors * Identify Long Lead Items and request quotes from vendors * Preparation of RTA's for 3rd party services, Engineering Studies and LLI's * Engage 3rd party providers and request preliminary 3rd party programmes and cost estimates * Identify minimum Rig requirements * Prepare and present concept design peer review * Prepare Basis of Design Detailed Well Planning: * Prepare Casing design report * Finalized 3rd party providers Programmes and cost estimates * Prepare master equipment lists * Ensure 3rd party providers and equipment are prepared and ready for operations * Complete Regulatory Permitting submissions * Prepare AFE Well duration and cost estimates * Provide input to peer review * Prepare Drilling Programme Operations: * Support to the well execution team prior to and during the execution phase including participation in DWOP sessions * Arrange pre-spud meetings * Monitor daily well costs in relation to AFE and update WTL daily Project Close Out: * Prepare EOWR. * Receive, review and approve 3rd party EOWR's * Provide "end of well" cost estimate projection to WTL at end of rig contract Requirements * Previous Well Engineering experience, including supervision of wellsite operations * Degree Qualified * IWCF combined Well Control * BOSIET & Offshore medical * Proven drilling & completions experience within an offshore environment * Computer software working knowledge; e.g. Stresscheck / Wellplan / Compass * Good data management skills * Self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude * Commercial acumen and the ability to appreciate the 'bigger picture' * Team-player, sharing ideas with other multi-disciplinary team members * Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiating skills, with the tact and diplomacy to deal across different levels and comfortable liaising with Client Management, Partners and with 3rd party contractors * Willingness to travel; * Entrepreneurial attitude with the initiative to make suggestions and run with ideas * Sharp eye for detail
