Who we are: Internet Fusion Group is a dynamic, fast-paced and growing eCommerce business that currently turns over circa 100 million. We have multiple websites transacting globally which specialise in lifestyle clothing and equipment. Offices are located around the UK with a main distribution hub that operates from Kettering. We offer the essentials for everyday living from fashion-forward to fashion staples, skating to horse riding, dirt bikes to snowboards and everything in between. In addition to designing and making our own apparel and products, we source the very best collections from exclusive, premium brands; carefully selecting, testing, and sharing products that look fantastic and perform beautifully. We sell over 800 heritage, sporting and contemporary brands from Great Britain and around the globe; including Barbour, North Face & Osprey. What you?ll be doing: Part of your role will entail working on the maintenance and upkeep of our existing software suite; however, the main bulk of your brief will be to write new service-orientated applications as we migrate away from legacy systems. We are utilising Laravel for new systems but are always open to new technologies. Based remotely but with travel to our Manchester, London and Kettering sites as needed. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment and is looking to make an immediate impact. Responsibilities you'd have: Our developers are expected to own the entire project life cycle and support from requirements gathering through to test. You should be an accomplished leader and have excellent communication skills to excel in the role. You will have experience of testing, refactoring and reporting and be a high-quality coder in your own right. You should be comfortable reviewing other developers code to ensure high coding standards are maintained. + Plan, prototype and estimate new projects + Attend daily stand-ups and clearly communicate progress on your work + Fix bugs in existing applications + Test new features to ensure they meet requirements + Design, build and test API?s + Build and maintain databases + Stay up to date with new trends and technologies + Document code, so other developers can understand and contribute to it + Attend web development workshops and conferences Key skills you need to have: + Enjoy working from home and be self motivated + PHP 5 & 7 / Git / Mysql + Demonstrable experience of OOP + Demonstrable experience with relevant MVC framework (preferably Laravel) + Experience creating and utilising API?s + Experience writing Unit Tests + JavaScript / HTML / CSS Nice to have skills: + Docker / AWS / Google Cloud / Azure + Redis / Elastic Search / Algolia + Software Design / Architecture + Testing / Release / Support What's in it for you?
