Overview
Job Description
* Installation of the data centre devices. This includes servers, switches and racking equipment. * Maintain a record to keep track of all the events. This will assist in timely reporting to the superiors * Should come up with practical troubleshooting solutions and must educate the staff members about the same * It is crucial to carry out assessments and inspections at regular intervals. It will help the candidate to keep everything under control and will also allow swift action whenever any problem occurs. * Candidate should have an innovative forward-thinking mindset who can come up with new and prospective ideas to improve processes and business-related tasks. * Excellent communication skills required to effectively communicate with teams. * Install, troubleshoot and repair desktop/laptop issues (both hardware/ software) * Install Standard SOE Image on Desktops and Laptops. * Install, configure and troubleshoot standard applications (MS Office, Adobe, etc.) * Configure and troubleshoot Tablets * Basic troubleshooting of Conference devices/ Projectors/ Meeting room facilitation. * Provide technical assistance and training to end-users on computer operating systems and Standard applications. * Instruct and assist end-users in the use of computer equipment, software and accessories. * Document all support activity within the IT Incident and Change Management tracking tool. * Ensure standard operating procedures and known error logs are kept up to date. * Support and monitoring of critical systems and services. * Patching and build of desktop, Laptops and mobile devices. * Systems backup monitoring and reporting * Traditional 2nd line break/fix incident management * Supporting Tech bar as per business requirements * Participate in monthly Inventory Audits * Follow Asset Management policies and ensure CMDB records are updated accurately and consistently * Provide first level break-fix support for third party hardware and/or applications and liaise with the vendor(s) to support and troubleshoot hardware and/or software. * Participate in regular/daily data centre housekeeping/maintenance checks. Escort * Third-Party / Vendor(s) for any works in the datacenter. * Completing ad-hoc tasks set by the EUC Team Lead / Operations Manager(s) * Be part of an on-call rota * Flexibility to work out of hours to meet business requirements * Willing to learn new technologies * Willing to participate in an on-call rota Required Skills * Good operation knowledge of data centre operations * Safety and Security orientated mind-set * Knowledge about switches, routers, VLAN's and server hardware * Experience working on Racking (Installation/ Decommissioning of equipment), Cable * Management (Cable routing, Labelling and best practices), Raid Arrays * (Methodologies, limitations etc), Backup/Tape LibrariesExperience with Fiber-optic, * Ethernet cables (CAT5-7) and SFP's (Small form-factor * Full understanding of IMAC processes * Networking fundamentals * Traditional 2nd line break/fix incident management * Support and troubleshooting of Operating Systems Windows 7 and 10 * SCCM 2008 & 2012(use of for deployment of Operating Systems and Applications) * Software and Application Troubleshooting * Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange servers Desirable skills * A+/N+ or higher qualification * Server Hardware vendor qualifications (DELL/HP/EMC etc) * Real-world experience of working in data centre operations * ITSM tools, specifically Service Now * ITIL foundation * Technical documentation authoring * Flexible, self-motivated and can-do attitude * Able to learn and adapt to new technologies. * Valid driving license with no more than 9 point Employment Type: FULL_TIME
