The Role This senior position is responsible for the overall leadership of sales in EMEA. The successful sales executive must have a proven track record for developing localized go-to-market strategies, delivering on or exceeding bookings & revenue goals, ideally from within the telecom industry. The candidate must be highly motivated, results driven, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication and negotiating skills. Reporting structure and key relationships * Reports To: CEO * Direct Reports: Regional Sales Director's and Account Manager's * Key Internal Partners: Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, Inside Sales , Legal and Professional Services & Support * Key External Partners: Broad and Diverse Channel Partners Principle activities / Responsibilities * Drive bookings & revenue to meet market and company expectations for EMEA. * Develop long-term vision for EMEA. * Ensure the EMEA sales team has the capacity/resources to meet market demand for next generation solutions. * Articulate and promote a clear value proposition for customers and partners. * Develop and implement strategies that take into account economic, political, competitive, market and industry knowledge on a per country and per region basis. * Ensure organization structure supports and optimizes the business plan to achieve sales targets. * Live the values based selling to ensure a customer centric culture. * Play an important role in shaping image perception of Empirix in country/region. * Drive programs to build the necessary Pipeline to ensure sustained growth in the region. * Leverage Salesforce as the single repository for CRM, forecasting and activity tracking. * Develop and optimize channel and technology partnerships as part of the go-to-market plan. * Ensure an environment of compliance with standards of business conduct; specifically FCPA. * Continuously develop an extensive set of relationships at C-level, VP and Director-levels across companies and product categories. * Participate in the development and vetting of new product development opportunities. * Provide leadership to current team of 6+ employees covering EMEA, managing their activities and providing direction to them with the goal of accomplishing business goals in sales, account management, pre-sales, marketing, and technical support. Accountabilities * Achieving or exceeding assigned quota Education * Bachelor's Degree Experience, and competencies * 10+ years' experience in EMEA sales management and/or sales/business development-ideally for a leading software/networking or enterprise platform company. * Must have Sales Management experience. * Proven track record of successful six figure sales. * Proven track record of building EMEA sales organizations. * High intelligence, capacity, and the courage to be highly diplomatic on all fronts while calibrating his/her strategies to meet the dynamics of the existing political and economic environment. * Capacity to consider process and filter large volumes of complex information quickly and identify appropriate actions as necessary. * Successful history of initiating and closing key tier-one customers, partnerships, and effectively leveraging a personal network and third-party relationships. * Ability to assess client needs effectively and address needs through new products and services. * A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals. * Hands-on approach with tactical as well as strategic sales activities. * Strong technical knowledge and experience networking. * Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must. * Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
