The Opportunity An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a Supply Chain Specialist to join the Commercial Team to lead predominantly the Facilities Management contract, one of the largest portfolios within EDF, providing procurement and commercial leadership from EDF central supply chain function in support of station and wider business demand requirements. Key activities will include:- * Development of complex supply market strategies, identifying and mitigating risks to the business; * Category and relationship management for medium to large sized markets, including specifically for Facilities Management implementing agreed standards and expectations with a key supplier; * Placement of medium to high value and complexity contracts for all goods and services; * Provide a commercial support service to help deliver value-for-money across several different areas of the business; * Interaction with key senior stakeholders within the business on a regular basis; * Support, development and coaching of other team members; The Person The scope of this role is to negotiate and place contracts/orders in accordance with delegated authority up to a value of 750k per individual contract/order, however retain overall commercial leadership on framework values up to ~70m per year. It is therefore essential that attention to detail is paramount in relation to this highly regulated contract. In addition, provide support to Fleet Contract Manager and station stakeholders in support of key operational requirements; Reporting to the Supply Chain Executive the role is responsible for the following; * Ensuring that Company's Acquire Goods and Services Process and other legislation, rules and procedures are properly administered within the company * Administering the upstream & downstream commercial aspects of a contract to the delegated level of authority (this includes supplier appraisal, tender preparation, tender assessment, negotiation, contract placement, variation and claim management and performance monitoring); * Maintain appropriate level of external supplier contact to undertake responsibilities effectively and liaise closely with Supply Chain Management Team on areas of risk; * Maintain market knowledge of all areas of expenditure responsibility and develop supply chain strategies that will deliver performance objectives such as savings and value for money performance improvement; * Regular & pro-active liaison and support to internal customers; * To ensure best practice is employed throughout fleet-wide contracts; * Ensure supply chain risks are understood, managed and communicated; * Apply human performance tools to enhance operational safety and performance. The Skills The ideal candidate for this role willhave proven experience in a supply chain related post with excellent listening and leadership skills in addition to the following; * Working knowledge of supply chain management; * Experience of Facilities Management contracting is desirable, but not essential; * Ability to communicate at all levels of the business; * Good interpersonal skills; * Awareness of best practice advances in supply chain; * Above average IT ability; * Ability to promote effective teamwork by personally acting as a mentor and role model; * Degree and/or working towards MCIPS is desirable Desirable * Facilities Management experience Competitive Salary & Benefits The position is a Persona Contract role which attrracts a competitive salary dependant on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
