We are a respected total solutions provider for the military and commercial sectors. Job Description Our Supply Chain Manager position is based within our Military Aerospace Business (MILA.) The primary objective for this role is to create a robust, sustainable and high performing Supply Chain able to meet key customer/project delivery milestones, for both current and future programmes. Build and maintain a high performing Supply Chain, that is able to meet Customer demands. Measuring adherence to desired performance targets. Build effective ‘operational’ relationships both internally as well as with our Customers and Suppliers. Ensure that the right levels of inventory are established, maintained and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needs Instil accountability throughout the supporting Supply Chain mitigating risk whilst always striving for cost effective value for money (VFM) solutions through the portfolio as well as subcontractors. Provide guidance and development to a supporting team of Procurement/Supply Chain Professionals ensuring they are aligned to customer needs whilst meeting company objectives. Ensure our suppliers meet their contractual obligations and work with the team to ensure they have the right information and support to make this happen for current and future requirements Establish effective escalation processes, ensuring accountability for responses that are time bound and effective Ensure functional excellence through best practice, and effective communication. Work with the team to help provide future Procurement Strategy and support. Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, effective Supply Chain/Supplier Management experience and the ability to work with all those involved ensuring we meet our business and Customer objective and expectations. Experience of supply chain management in the Aerospace, Defence Industry or Manufacturing environments – ideally one that incorporates MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) CIPS post graduate or equivalent and a qualification within Engineering or Business is desirable. Demonstrable evidence of innovation and implementation of best practice in a Procurement or Supply Chain context A natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills that facilitates good negotiating and influencing skills. Analytically competent with the ability to interpret data to provide strategic and tactical solutions within a dynamic environment Good commercial and financial understanding.
