The Role This is an opportunity for an experienced, confident and talented individual to use their existing skills in Instructional Design to join our client's team and take the lead in designing effective and creative e-learning for some of the world's leading companies and organisations. This position is the perfect opportunity for someone who is passionate about continuous learning and development and wishes to use their experience and knowledge of learning theory to produce top-quality interactive learning solutions. The role involves mentoring junior team members, by leading internal training session and casting an experienced eye over their work. Tasks, duties & responsibilities: Creating engaging solutions for our global blue-chip clients; including the opportunity for European travel. Leading the Instructional Design of multiple e-learning projects. Mentoring, directing and reviewing the work of our Learning Designers. Supporting in the winning of competitive bids by devising creative and effective learning solutions. Attend and contribute to project kick off meetings (internal and external) to ensure the right information is captured, circulated and recorded. Design and review High Level Design documents, Content Maps, Storyboards and Audio scripts. Provide support, coaching, mentoring and development for members of the instructional design team to develop their instructional design skills. Contribute to the instructional design team, engaging the in team meetings and provide thought leadership to instructional design best practice and methodology. Review and provide feedback on project costing/budget allocation during the pre-sales process to support project effectiveness and profitability. The ideal candidate will have: Have a strong academic background and the high level of intellect needed to be able to work on a variety of complex subject matters, demonstrated by having a 2:1 degree. A minimum of 8 years' experience of producing bespoke e-learning for major UK and international corporate customers. Excellent knowledge of learning theory as applied to producing top-quality interactive learning solutions. Experience of cutting-edge learning solutions, e.g. learning simulations, games, informal learning or mobile learning. Expertise in the whole ID lifecycle: requirements analysis, high-level training design and specification, interactive screen design, storyboarding and quality assurance. Experience of working with bid teams to secure new business by producing learning solutions and doing formal presentations. Technically strong; fluent in technical ideas/concepts and ideally with some experience of implementation or using authoring tools. Excellent written and communication skills.
