Job Description
Technical Sales Manager (Key Accounts) 35k - 45k, plus Uncapped Incentive Scheme, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Company Car, Laptop, Mobile Phone and Free Car Parking. The Company: Our client is an independent surfacing and civil engineering contractor that provides a 24/7 Nationwide service, for some of the UK's leading blue chip companies, from their network of regional offices. Their clients rely on their specialist knowledge, flexible approach and site management expertise to help them deliver their project objectives. As a result of this they have established long-term partner relationships based on trust and understanding and their services are retained on numerous national contracts. The Role: An exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established and dynamic nationwide company that specialises in Road Surfacing & Civil Engineering projects. Your role as Technical Sales Manager / Key Account Manager will comprise two primary areas of responsibility: * Act as the first point of contact for all sales related enquiries, so ensuring a consistent and professional service is offered at all times. * Manage a select group of Key Accounts, maintaining a long term relationship along with maximising sales opportunities and strategic account objectives. Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, this position will require close working relationships with colleagues and customers in order to meet company targets and objectives, drive opportunities through the sales pipeline so enabling the company to continue its success and growth throughout the UK. You will bring a strong commercial and technical focus to the key accounts. Key Accountabilities: * With the Sales & Marketing Director develop and implement an area business plan in order to achieve business targets * Delivery of CPD Training * Aptitude to perform site survey reports. * Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel is assigned accounts. * Cooordinates the involvement of NMC personnel, including support, service and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations. * Meets targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts. * Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones. * Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. * Leads solution development that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel. * Achieves assigned sales targets in designated accounts * Meets expectations for profitability * Completes strategic customer account plans * Undertake sales/technical presentations to develop specification sales. The ideal candidate will have: * Ideally have a background in construction / civil engineering / surfacing / Industrial or Engineering sector. * May well have a Quantity Surveying / Estimating background qualified to HNC or Degree level. * Do you hold a full UK driving licence?
