Overview
Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Engineering Manager (Electronics) to join an industry leading manufacturer in Yorkshire. Working alongside multiple heads of department, you will be primarily responsible for best practice production engineering, vision, strategy and innovation to maximise operational performance. Due to continued growth in 2020, this leadership position comes with a market leading package and the autonomy to make a difference. The Technical Engineering Managers duties and responsibilities will include: - Drive line optimisation, timings, bottleneck studies, and maintain/improve drawings specifications and procedures - Managing teams of up to 5 supporting day to day production issues and supporting the implementation of new products into the line - Lead a drive a continuous improvement culture and support the internal development of others in this function - Ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety / Quality site requirements - Liaising with the Manufacturing Director, Production Management, Technical and shop floor to support day to day production whilst driving out waste and quality defects - Develop effective relationships that enable the influence of new product development to be designed for manufacture, maintain the ethos of a 'right first time' culture We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience: - Electronics Experience - Automation , Surface Mount Assembly, Testing, & PCB knowledge - Proven experience in a Process/Production/Technical Engineering Manager position - B.Eng or equivalent in relevant discipline (Desired) - A hands on technical expert with strong leadership & management skills - Understanding of Lean/Process Improvement/Six Sigma techniques - Great computer skills with a good knowledge of CAD and Excel - Experienced in project management of small, medium and large scale projects Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
