Glebe Court has been relocated to Blackheath Rise and has been re-furbished to a high specification, the service is currently exploring meeting the needs of other groups of vulnerable people alongside older people, for example older people with a Learning Difficulty. This we hope, will provide a rich and fulfilling home for residents and staff alike. Working as part of a team and being responsible to the Catering Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an excellent catering services. The main duties & responsibilities include: Prepare meals Prepare foodstuffs, snacks and drinks referring to resident's dietary needs and preferences including allergies as required. Serve all meals, food and drinks at the specified times. Operate any control systems as required by management completing necessary records. Ensure daily knowledge of the food to be served together with the appropriate garnish and portion controls. You may from time to time be asked to cover laundry or general assistant cleaning duties in line with the requirements of the home, and subject to necessary training for the role You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with older people, some of whom are living with Dementia. Ability to work comfortably in a Christian environment, operate within professional boundaries and within Older People Services Values are necessary prerequisites for the post.
