About CrowdJustice CrowdJustice is a tech-for-good platform that gives communities and individuals a platform and a voice for building support for legal action, and lawyers a way to open up access to more clients. CrowdJustice is a critical part of the access to justice infrastructure in the UK. Over 1000 legal matters have been funded through CrowdJustice from doctors fighting for better PPE to individuals fighting against deportation. Seven CrowdJustice cases have reached the Supreme Court and many more have changed the law, and the lives of individuals and communities across the UK. Cases on CrowdJustice are in the news nearly every week they genuinely change peoples lives and its often not an exaggeration to say, society as a whole. Weve also won fantastic awards like The Lawyers Tech Product of the Year and the Financial Times Legal Innovator of the Year. We are looking for a General Manager to have full responsibility for owning the CrowdJustice P&L, driving growth and strategy, and managing the small CrowdJustice team. The GM will form a key part of our management team and will report to the CEO of Legl. This is a perfect role for someone who wants to get stuck in leading a small (and scrappy) but high-profile tech-for-good brand, and take it to the next level. You will primarily be responsible for identifying, executing on and leveraging opportunities for growth. Our ideal candidate is a commercial, entrepreneurial do-er you may have been a management consultant, running operations or a commercial product owner, but now you want to take the next step and lead, and drive growth in an important product and organisation, while having a tangible impact in the world. What youll be responsible for: * Own the strategy and growth of our CrowdJustice business (full P&L ownership) * Define growth goals, and communicating those to the rest of the Legl team, our Board and leadership * Actively getting stuck into the nitty gritty (executing!) to help achieve those goals, and prioritising and leveraging the resources available to meet them * Defining a product and marketing roadmap and advocating for resource where required * Owning the processes and operations of CrowdJustice * Managing the small CrowdJustice team and setting goals and OKRs * Be part of Legls leadership team and reporting to our CEO, Julia Requirements Were looking for someone who has some if not all of the following: * Youre entrepreneurial and self-starting you dont need someone to identify the problems and opportunities for you. And critically, while you can see the big picture, you are more than happy to roll up your sleeves to get things done. * Youre very commercial you can understand and identify levers for growth, know a 10x opportunity from a 10% one, and are comfortable owning a P&L. * Youre extremely analytical and a rigorous experimenter you use data to methodically test new opportunities, and then run with the ones that work. (Being data-focused is essential; SQL or other data analysis skills are a nice-to-have bonus). * You have high EQ and great communication skills you like working with others, listening and learning from those with different experiences, and can talk to everyone from a vulnerable customer who needs support to an investor.
