Director of Operations - Networked Care Basic salary: 91,004 - 104,927 Location: Reading, Berkshire The Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT) is one of the largest district general hospital foundation trusts in the country. With a turnover of over 375m, employing over 5,000 staff and delivering care from multiple sites, we provide acute medical and surgical services to a population of 500,000 patients in Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire and specialist services to a wider population of 1 million across Berkshire and its borders. We are a designated specialist centre in cancer, bariatric care, heart attack and stroke and have many things to be proud of, including the fact that heart attack patients arriving at the Hospital are receiving the fastest lifesaving treatment anywhere in the country. The Trust is very proud of its overall average positive score ranking of 2 across all Acute Trust organisations that completed the NHS National Staff Survey and it is against this backdrop that we are seeking an exceptional Director of Operations for the Networked Care Group to deliver the service provision across its large and complex Directorates, leading the operations with an integral role to build and sustain relationships with our community and system partners. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for the whole NHS and like other Trusts, we are working hard to build our recovery plans and to really embrace new and innovative ways of working across our services. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will be integral to how the Networked Care Group contributes to this recovery and embracing the Trust core values (CARE - Care, Aspirational, Resourceful, Excellent), will lead by example to deliver the highest quality patient care and safety. The Role: * Delivery of the service provision for four Directorates, comprising all specialities within Integrated Medicine, Specialist Medicine, Pathology and Pharmacy services, including the relationship with Berkshire and Surrey Shared Pathology Service (BSPS) * Managing relationships with the RBFT Community partners, ensuring service provision across the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) * Trust Lead for the Patient Flow programme * Management of the delivery of key services across all RBFT sites including those in Bracknell, Windsor, West Berkshire Community Hospital, Wokingham Community Hospital and Townlands (Henley) The Candidate: Our ideal candidate will have: * Significant and demonstrable experience at a senior leadership level within the NHS. * A track record of partnership working and producing tangible outcomes through influence and relationship management. * Extensive experience of operational management and planning, with an ability to demonstrate strategic thinking against a broad range of organisational activities. Panel: The stakeholder panel will comprise a number of key and senior people from the Networked Care Group and across Urgent and Planned Care. The interview panel will comprise the Chief Operating Officer, Networked Care Group Director and other key members from the Care Group and other system leaders.
