The role: We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team to work as a Senior DevOps Engineer (specialising in NoSQL Databases e.g. Aerospike). In depth knowledge and experience of working with NoSql Databases is a must, training can be given to transition to Aerospike as required. This role sits in our expanding software development group where you will be supporting our Fraud business. You will be involved in defining technical solutions, infrastructure architecture and the implementation of engineering solutions in an established engineering function. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automation and understands the real benefits of agile with significant experience of working within a DevOps culture. Principle Responsibilities: Manage Aerospike databases - installation, configuration and administration Consult and make recommendation on design, security, performance tuning and monitoring Develop, support and improve operational practices and procedures Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Required Skills and Experience: Experience in provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS Experience operating web-scale deployments of distributed systems Experience in implementation of backup and recovery strategies Source Control - manage code via source control tools - GIT Configuration management - Ansible, Hashicorp Packer & Terraform Fluency in Python, Java, GoLang, or a similar language Desirable Skills and Experience: Lateral thinking, reverse engineering, good at problem solving & decision making.
