As a Patient Sample Management Technician at IDEXX you'll have the opportunity to use your skills in a whole new way. You will be a key contributor at the global leader in veterinary diagnostic. Yes, you read that right, Veterinary Diagnostics! Hours of work - Tuesday - Saturday 04.00 - 12.30 Your main responsibilities include: * Receiving and preparing samples for laboratory analyses and tests to diagnose various pet and other animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. * Removing specimens from transport bags and splits as needed for multiple testing. Placing specimens on slides or other testing format. Retrieving and prepares add-on's and rechecks. * Recording information about specimens. Labels and numbers slides, specimens and submittals. * Assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and ensuring Turn Around Times (TAT's) are met. * Reading applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), * May be responsible for various support activities, including maintaining supply inventory, record-keeping, shipping and receiving, cleaning and other related duties. * Complying with international shipping regulations (USDOT, FAA, IATA, ICAO). To be successful in this role, you'll have a positive attitude and high energy along with a proven track record of managing laboratory tasks within a global matrix organization. Next to that, you will fit in well if you can be described as: * Having excellent organizing skills, and a structured approach to bringing people together. * You should be pro-active by nature, with a high degree of reliability and attention to time and detail. * A solution driven mindset and the ability to multitask. * Fluent in English * Educated to GCSE level or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Laboratory skills and experience will be helpful. * Having general science background, including hematology/chemistry helpful. * Having data entry skills. * Good command on Microsoft Office Have we caught your interest and are you ready to learn more?
