We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Culture, Change and Communications professional to join our team in Brentford! The Pharma business generated 2018 revenue of 17.3 billion, representing 56% of the total turnover of the Group. The Pharma Supply Chain (PSC) is responsible for making and supplying GSK's pharmaceutical products around the globe. Our network consists of 30 sites in 18 countriesand approximately 16,000 employees. In 2019 GSK produced around 2.3 billion packs of medicine. The PSC is at a turning point. GSK is developing an exciting pipeline of specialty medicines at a time when technology is transforming what is possible in pharmaceutical manufacturing. As out new Communications Director, you will be pivotal in driving and supporting this objective. We are looking for a senior engagement leader who is up for the challenge and has deep experience of internal communications and culture change, including operating in a complex, matrixed, multinational company. We are looking for a clear strategic thinker. We also want someone with a fresh approach, comfortable to persuade leaders to try new ways of engaging that will drive deeper levels of engagement. The individual must be able to see through complexity to identify simple, effective approaches and be able to explain this course of action clearly. These responsibilities include some of the following: Strategy and Planning * Partners with HR and Organisational Design to create a culture strategy that will help deliver the desired shift in behaviours and drive trust. * Identifies new levers to drive behaviour change, thinking broadly about all the levers that shape employee behaviour * Consciously seeks out employee input on relevant aspects of trust and culture change and gathers and uses employee insights to inform messaging and activities Implementation * Takes accountability for all trust and culture communications * Ensures all content produced by the team is delivered to the highest possible standard with close attention to detail. * Continually finds new ways to bring content alive - ensuring our communications are fresh - pulls in outside GSK ideas and inspires creativity. Team management * Leads a medium to large multi-disciplinary teams (matrix) * Drives a high performing team, role modelling straight talk and developing and coaching employees to drive continuous improvement. * Recruits and develops a pipeline of new talent for the wider team Issues and change management * Provides strategic counsel to supply chain and site leaders to manage issues effectively * Acts as communication lead on complex change projects to protect GSK's reputation.
