Job Description

Main Purpose of Role The candidate's main responsibilities will be to support and deliver the objectives of the Risk, Capital and Portfolio Development team through the application of specialist analytical and reporting skills, in particular: - The production and analysis of portfolio data for internal and external risk and reporting purposes. - The application of data modelling, analytics and MI tools to support underwriting, portfolio management and portfolio optimisation. - The design, development and improvement of innovative analytical tools for the syndicate. - Assisting with the syndicate business planning process. Key Accountabilities Ownership of running and validating monthly modelled loss portfolio data archives for internal / Lloyd's / regulatory reporting. To own the development and maintenance of innovative analytical tools and dashboards for relevant teams (e.g. Underwriting, senior management etc.) including optimising the portfolio. Communication of portfolio movements to senior management and regulators as required. Ownership of MI reporting and presentations. To assist in the production of external regulatory returns as required. Assist in the Ariel Re business planning process including liaising across underwriting, outwards reinsurance, and capital modelling teams. To liaise with the relevant departments (e.g. underwriting, actuarial, portfolio management, R&D, etc) to analyse risk and exposure movements. E.g. via EP curves. Proficiency in Excel and SQL required. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with (re)insurance data and knowledge of exposure management returns desirable. Proficiency in MI tools such as Power BI / R Shiny desirable. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
