Job Description

Role Summary: Responsible for designing, developing and testing software to create industrial internet products and services tailored to the needs of the GE businesses and external customers. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor's Degree). Essential Responsibilities: Ensures the quality of software products by creating and applying software quality tests to a feature, set of features, or whole feature area. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team or to other teams across businesses. Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues. Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research. Qualifications/Requirements: Solid commercial experience using SW verification techniques, and reviews Verification of STM32 and similar microprocessor and microcontroller software Experience of testing low level drivers for embedded systems (i.e. device drivers). Knowledge of hardware level interfacing (e.g. device drivers) Interpretation and understanding of hardware datasheets and device capabilities Time management skills, work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests. Work in a multi-disciplinary team across sites Awareness of cybersecurity related issues and potential countermeasures Degree or equivalent qualification in Software/Electronic Engineering Desired Characteristics: Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills.
