Role Summary: The Software Engineer inside the Technology team supports projects in industries such as automotive (including F1), metrological, hydrology and oil & gas related to Pressure Sensing andTest & Calibration equipment. For further information see: Essential Responsibilities: + Reporting to the SoftwareManager, providing technical software engineering solutions. + Ensuring requirements aretranslated correctly into cohesive development & verification solutions. + Experience of implementingembedded firmware with an RTOS (e.g. uC/OS, Free RTOS). + Development of embeddedsoftware/firmware (C/C ) + Implementation of digitalcommunications protocols (TCP/IP, CANBUS, MODBUS, RS485, SPI, I2C) + Debugging and probleminvestigation of software/firmware + Excellent written and verbalcommunication + Contribution in the definitionof product and software/firmware architecture and design decisions. Qualifications/Requirements: + Solid commercial experienceusing SW development full-lifecycle, including requirements and reviews + Development of STM32 andsimilar microprocessor and microcontroller software + Knowledge of hardware levelinterfacing (e.g. device drivers) + Production of architecturaland detailed designs + Interpretation andunderstanding of hardware datasheets and device capabilities + Time management skills, workto deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests. + Work in a multi-disciplinaryteam across sites + Awareness of cybersecurityrelated issues and potential countermeasures + Work within an Agiledevelopment environment + Low-Level (Unit) Testing (LLT)using industry recognised software. + Degree or equivalentqualification in Software/Electronic Engineering Desired Characteristics: + Development of instrumentationand sensor/metrology related software solutions + Experience with Change andConfiguration tools + Reviewing marketinginformation and creating design specifications + Supporting external customers,internal sales and marketing functions + Manufacturing support andability to solve manufacturing related problems quickly Locations: + Groby, Leicester, UK This is your opportunity to learn more, do more, live the career you have imagined and be part of a truly diverse organization Baker Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
