Project: UK Metrology Job Title : Calibration Technician Job Code: GTMD05, Associate Technician Metrology Reports to: EMEA-APAC Regional Manager Location: Office Based in Yeovil Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Qualifications, Experience and Skills Essential: * An engineering apprenticeship is preferred but not essential or the equivalent engineering qualifications * GSCE's grades to 'C' and above in Maths, English and Science * Ability to work as part of an integrated team or individually as required * Computer literate with a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite * Good communication skills both written and oral. * Organisational skills - plans well in advance, manages own time, reviews progress against plan * A full UK driving licence in order to drive company vehicles. 1. Core Responsibilities and Duties The role is responsible for the provision of calibration technician: This is an entry level role into the calibration environment which training will be provided to gain the skills and technical ability to calibrate instruments unaided. Key Tasks: * Independently tests and calibrates a variety of electrical and mechanical based instruments for conformance to established standards. * Independently tests and calibrates a variety of Pressure, flow, temperature and humidity measuring for conformance to established standards * Performing periodic room air particle counts in controlled areas and laminar flow cabinets. * Downloading monthly controlled area temperature and humidity data....
