Its BoxSizer technology platform can right\-size multiple sizes of cartons on the same machine without stopping for changeovers\. Linkx has recently moved to Gorleston near Great Yarmouth so look out for more opportunities as they expand\. Currently we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter, based in Gorleston Position Highlight: As one of our expanding team of experienced Mechanical Fitters, you will work in a small team to manufacture advanced packaging machines for well\-known global household names\. You will also help to install new machines at customer sites and modify and maintain existing machines to ensure equipment continues to meet customer requirements\. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT WESTROCK: Follow WestRock safety procedures at all times Assemble machines from supplied drawings Install sub\-assemblies in larger machines Use pillar drill, manual lathe, manual milling machine, horizontal grinder and other associated tool room equipment Fabricate special tools and components when required Book parts into and out of stores Ensure work is completed to agreed schedules Assist with machine testing with a Test Fitter following test procedures Assist with installation and breakdown support as and when required Complete modifications as necessary and ensure accurate documentation is kept Keep workstation clean and tidy WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Minimum 3 years experience as a mechanical engineer, ideally in an automated packaging environment Ideally be apprenticeship trained but other qualifications will be considered Able to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience within a manufacturing facility Experience of assembling mechanical product Able to operate/use hand and machine tools Experience in machining bespoke parts Good analytical problem\-solving skills Willingness to travel \(5% in UK, occasionally abroad\) WHAT WE OFFER: Attractive salary with overtime potential A corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability and excellence A role in which you can prove and further develop your skills Operations/Manufacturing WestRock Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce: Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans\.
