Job Description
Role Summary: The Software and Control engineering platform is responsible for Software and key Control Hardware for GE Power (PC)'s range of Electric Drives to support delivery of optimized solutions in line with the requirements from the Business Verticals. These Drives are DC and AC multiphase in the range of a 1 to 20MW. The Role in question is to support the development and maintenance of PCBs, PCB assemblies, and key control hardware items associated with Drive Control. Essential Responsibilities: Working with a wider team to understand and or define requirements and functional details. Development and maintenance of new and existing PCB and PCBA designs. Production or supervision of the layout process. Generation of the manufacturing information package. Liaison with manufacturers. Prototype production and testing. Qualifications/Requirements: Detailed and demonstrable experience in the following key skills: Design of analogue and digital circuits Design of microprocessor, FPGA and memory circuits Design of SOC (system on chip) circuits, including configuration and software PCB design tools such as Altium, Orcad, Mentor Graphics, CAD Star Electrical noise and how to design to limit its effects.
