As an Assistant GL Accountant, you will j oin the EMEA Accounting team . In this position you will work in a fast moving environment , effectively execut ing against policies and procedures which ensure accurate and timely recording of AP (Accounts Payable), Cash and Prepayments in accordance with GAAP, and assist with month-end financial close. You will also collaborate closely with Revenue Operations, IT, Payroll and WorkPlace Services (WPS) teams . WHAT YOU'LL DO * Manage full-cycle AP/procure-to-pay process for all EMEA subsidiaries including processing vendor invoices and payments via Coupa procurement system. * Resolve purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies with internal teams as well as external vendors efficiently and effectively. * Be responsible for carrying out Coupa and Concur training to all new hires. * Maintain weekly pay runs, manual payments including refunds, expenses and referral payouts. * Effectively review, approve, and pay employee expenses on a weekly basis ensuring all entries comply with the purchasing policy. * Month end close responsibilities including bank/cash, prepayments, journal entries, and reconciliations, including appropriate documentation and ensuring automated interfaces to the G/L are functioning as intended. * Assist with clearing reconciling items in a timely manner by identifying and resolving incorrect entries. * Produce weekly T&E reporting for sales leaders by collecting and analyzing data. * Assist with preparation of VAT returns for international subsidiaries. * Contribute to process & system improvements and implementations as Box Continues to scale. * Monitor work for compliance with proper internal controls and SOX requirements. WHO YOU ARE * BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Preferably studying for accounting qualifications (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA). * Relevant experience in a similar role. * Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. * Excellent teamwork, time management, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Proficient to Advanced MS Excel skills. * Self-motivated and self-managed with the ability to multi-task and think independently, creatively, and and opportunistically. Nice to have... * Previous experience High-tech multi-national or SaaS based industry experience a plus. * Experience with Coupa, NetSuite and SOX a plus.
