You'll join a vibrant outreach service in Pucklechurch, near Bristol, supporting six people who live either independently or with their family. We offer an outreach service, enabling the individuals to access the community, to use various clubs and activities and to try new things. Hours of support are generally Monday to Friday 8.15am to 4.45pm with some evenings and the possibility of future weekend work. Coronavirus update: As a key worker, you'll provide essential services, and you'll receive full training, equipment and support. You will need to be available and able to carry out your role during the Coronavirus pandemic. Learning disabilities and autism affect people in different ways so the role is very varied. Some of the people we support live with epilepsy, hearing loss and behaviour that can challenge; we provide full training relevant to the individuals you'll support. Your day will involve supporting people with everyday tasks and to access their community. If you're new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you'll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression.
