At SP Energy Networks, we know people are central to building a better future, quicker and we are seeking new talent to join our team Purpose The role is within Commercial and Performance team and supports the Business in managing, monitoring, forecasting and reporting on capital and operating expenditure. This will involve co-ordinating project business processes from inception to closure review and will be the focal point for the tracking of project and workstream expenditure from design to closure. Responsibilities As a Business Analyst your work will focus on monitoring and challenging financial and non-financial performance to ensure business objectives are met. You will be responsible for the preparation and development of the reported results for all operating and capital costs, providing comprehensive analysis and commentary to the business. You will manage the regulatory reporting submissions, ensuring the business meets its regulatory commitments. Your tasks will include: + Manage the preparation and development of the reported results, budgets and forecasts for all operating and capital costs, providing comprehensive analysis and commentary to the business Management Team + Responsibility for the Regulatory Reporting submissions to OFGEM to ensure robust and accurate cost and volume information and take the lead for all OFGEM queries and supporting analysis + Review risks and sensitivities to current and future year targets. + Deliver efficiencies through cost management and maximising our existing processes to full effect. + Drive compliance with business processes and Governance, ensuring integrity of cost allocations and substance of transactions + Coach and support staff to ensure a motivated and effective analyst team. Skills and Requirements We are looking for individuals with demonstrable problem solving ability, with previous analyst experience. Someone numerically articulate and commercially aware with a strong attention to detail with the ability to assimilate a large amount of complex, interlinked data and to make balanced decisions based on that data. To be successful in this position you will need to bring with you: + Fully Qualified Accountant + Significant relevant experience in similar business analyst positions + Fully Competent in SAP Financials + Experience of financial reporting within a regulated environment + Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel + Fully Competent in the use of Microsoft Word & Powerpoint + Experience in a managerial role - Desirable + Microsoft Power BI Reporting - Desirable What we offer This is aPermanent Full-timecontract.
