Job Description

" Following a recent change programme, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, qualified Head of Treasury and Business Planning with ideally a social housing background to join our busy Finance Team. This is a 37 hour per week full time role based within Magenta Living's head office in Birkenhead. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Finance and Resources you will be responsible for leading on the long term business planning and tax and treasury functions. The role will be instrumental in ensuring that we are providing high quality financial information to all areas of the business and stakeholders including funders and the Regulator for Social Housing. Exposure to dealing with senior management and being prepared to challenge is essential and you will need to communicate well with all stakeholders both internal and external. The overall purpose of the role will be : \t * Development of robust Treasury policies and procedures delivering cash flow forecasting and a robust treasury risk management control environment \t * \t Lead , develop and maintain the Group's Long Term financial plans conducting sensitivity analysis and stress testing ensuring compliance with regulatory standards \t \t * Maintain strong relationships with funders, investors, regulators and other external stakeholders including HMRC. \t * Lead on cashflow forecast to ensure long term liquidity \t * Lead the organisation's treasury and tax functions ensuring there is a robust system for the monitoring and reporting of investment, funding and treasury activity \t * Develop solutions to any planning, treasury or banking issues which arise To be successful in your application you will need to be CCAB qualified with at least 5 years post qualification experience and be able to evidence strong business reporting capabilities. This will include significant understanding of long term financial planning, sensitivity testing and modelling methodologies. You will have understanding and experience in Treasury services, cash flow management and loan covenant compliance. Alongside this you will have the ability to present and discuss financial information with senior management in an engaging manner, and a practical approach to designing processes and interacting with stakeholders. Your technical skills will include advanced knowledge and experience of Brixx software and Excel and the ability to manipulate financial data from financial software packages (we use OPEN accounts).
