Qualification Product Manager - Languages 12 month Fixed Term Contract We are Pearson, the world's leading learning company and we are looking for an energetic, and proactive Product Manager who has a passion for education. You'll be part of the English Arts and Languages team, managing our GCSE and A level qualifications through their lifecycle; from inception, through development and into the day-to-day provision of support for our qualifications. You'll work with teachers, and stakeholders at Pearson and within education. Responsibilities of a Product Manager include..... * Understanding the pressures facing teachers and learners in schools, and developing ideas to help support them. * During periods of GCSE and A level reform, working with colleagues in Pearson to help to develop qualifications that meet both regulatory requirements and the needs of teachers and learners. * Creating and project managing free support, be it documentation, training events, or new services. * Working with marketing and sales teams to ensure that our qualifications and services are being correctly represented to teachers and learners. * Attending and presenting at events and network meetings. * Monitoring uptake of our qualifications and services, and understanding the trends we see. So who are we looking for...... Previous experience in the Education sector is preferable; we're looking for teachers ready to move away from the chalkface, or education professionals who may have worked in qualifications or educational publishing. While we would prefer individuals with experience in languages education, we do provide a layered approach to training with the opportunity to shadow experienced colleagues in order to gain knowledge. We do require you to have excellent organisational skills, influencing skills and the ability to think strategically. Last but not least you need to have a positive and determined attitude to work. Location.... This role will be based from of our Holborn office. Occasional travel to visit schools and other stakeholders will be required. About us....
