FJWilson Talent Services (a recruitment and search agency) is delighted to be retained by the ACCA to identify a talented professional for a full-time, permanent 'Qualifications Technical Adviser (QTA) (Audit)’ post. You will join a high-performing team of QTAs responsible for all aspects of the Qualification, and can be based in either ACCA’s London or Glasgow offices. A home-based position will also be considered as long as you are willing to travel as necessary to ACCA’s offices and to external meetings. Overview Reporting to the Qualification Content Manager, the Qualification Technical Adviser role will be part of a team of technical experts who are responsible for the rigour and relevance of the audit and assurance exams in the UK and globally. The main purpose of the QTA role is to ensure the quality of all the audit and assurance exams in the Qualification from the Foundations level (including those for the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)) up to the Strategic Professional exams which are benchmarked as Masters’ degree level. Additionally, the QTA liaises with a variety of stakeholders, internal and external, to provide information on all technical aspects of the qualification. This includes preparation of presentations as well as authoring and/or quality assurance of technical articles and other learning support. Close relationships are required with professionally qualified experts. The QTA role offers extensive variety and significant opportunities for professional interest and development. It combines on-going growth in technical expertise alongside the use of interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. The role encompasses ensuring exam validity and credibility, the use of statistics in decision-making and input into exam security models. The ACCA qualification is at the forefront of educational development. The QTA team translate their technical knowledge into the delivery and evolution of the audit and assurance exams. Candidates should have experience of exposure to an educational environment (or experience of working within one) such as working with or within an in-house training department, working for a learning provider or other relevant professional body.
