Otis are currently recruiting for a time served or qualified lift installation engineers looking to take their first step into a supervisory / management role. As a Field Manager for Otis, you will work in our Volume / Core division of our New Equipment Installations. You will oversee multiple sites / locations and teams of installation engineers working on volume installations across London. Are you an experienced Lift Installation engineer looking for a move into a management role? We specifically recruit for current engineers looking to become Field Managers - to utilise you experience within the installation of lifts and to oversee a team of installation engineers with keeping the install on time, within budget - and most importantly - following all current Health and Safety guidelines. Within Volume, you will cover smaller sites and be responsible for multiple locations / teams. The role will entail: Managing the lift and escalator field engineering teams on construction sites ensuring that the three key absolutes of Safety, Ethics and Financial Control are maintained at all times. Managing projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the contract scope and regularly monitoring and reviewing progress against plan (both financial and project) and if necessary take action to mitigate delays and claims and bring the programme back on track. In order to be considered you will: Possess prior experience of managing lift and escalator projects or general construction / engineering site management exposure. You will also be IT literate (MS Excel / Project), possess good planning, problem solving and communication skills and an understanding of the importance of delivering excellent customer service.
