Job Title: Health Economic and Outcomes Research Manager Department: Medical Affairs SOP Group: Medical / Clinical Location: Flexible (Acton or London preferred but not required) Position Overview: At Insulet, improving the lives of our customers through innovative technology is at the core of what we do every day. To bring this vision to life, we are passionate about ensuring our customers around the world have access to our products through public and/or private programs. This requires a team of dedicated individuals working across multiple functions to collect, generate and translate data into dossiers that support the economic and health outcome benefits of our products in the local markets. The Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research Manager is the technical lead for Insulet's health technology assessment efforts working closely with the local market access teams. Responsibilities: As a Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research Manager you will work with internal cross-functional partners and external experts to develop assessment strategies that maximize market access for current and future Insulet products. You will leverage your knowledge and experience with Economic Modeling to build global model structures that are adaptable to local market needs. You will conduct data reviews and develop evidence generation strategies to fill identified data gaps. You will work with external experts (KOLs) to publish results in top-tier peer-reviewed journals. You will also maintain a high level of disease knowledge and keep current with competitive activity within the field. Additional responsibilities include; Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the health outcomes and health economics associated with Insulet's technologies and competing alternatives for insulin delivery in markets we serve Supporting global market expansion activities Lead the cross-functional effort to continually refine and development Insulet's Outcomes Dashboard Planning and participating in Advisory Board meetings when appropriate Developing and presenting HEOR work to customers and partners Attending and presenting at local and global medical and scientific congresses Additional duties as assigned and required Education and Experience: Minimum Requirements: Advance degree (MSc or PhD) in Health Economics, Epidemiology or equivalent 3 or more years of HEOR experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industries Experience working with diabetes and diabetes devices would be an asset Preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong scientific acumen Experience writing abstracts and manuscripts and publishing in leading journals Thorough understanding of the healthcare and market access environments across multiple markets in North America and Europe Willingness and ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams A self-starter with intrinsic sense of urgency and attention to detail Excellent project management and organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and multi-task Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical Requirements (if applicable): Ability to travel 10 to 30% of the time (location dependent)
