In this key worker role you don't necessarily need experience as we provide full training. Coronavirus update: As a key worker, you'll provide essential services, and you'll receive full training, equipment and support. You'll join our friendly teams, enabling people with learning disabilities to increase their independence; there's lots of variety. You'll support individuals in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key. As a support worker you'll also support people to do things in their community; from shopping and going on day trips to sport and visiting day centres. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you'll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. Respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles. We provide a range of benefits. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. Full-time support workers work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary figures shown above). We also have some services where sleep-ins are not required and you may work some waking nights. The salary for these roles is 17,051 - 17,774 pa. All support workers have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services and are paid 50-70 extra per sleep-in. View the detailed Job Profile.
