Job Description
The Software Development Engineer, Test (SDET) plays a pivotal role in producing high-quality bug-free software. The successful candidate will embed in one of our Scrum Engineering teams and will work closely with our Quality Engineering team to draft test plans and then design, implement, execute, and improve our suite of automated tests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies. Key Qualifications + Linux experience + Fluency in Java + Experience with automation tools, eg. Selenium, Cypress or others + Experience with scripting, eg. Bash + Knowledge of HTML / CSS and browser development tools is beneficial + Working knowledge of Javascript and associated testing frameworks (cypress, jest, jasmine, mocha, chai, etc.) is a bonus. + Experience testing or knowledge of modern single page javascript web applications is a plus. + Knowledge of Hadoop and associated plugins such as HDFS, MR, Hive, and Spark preferred + Proficient English language skills Description + Develop a sound quality assurance process and infrastructure + Contribute in building a flexible and scalable automation solution + Develop, execute, and automate test cases for assigned components + Triage, diagnose, and debug root-causes and drive them to resolution + Effectively communicate the status of work progress to completion Education + Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a related field Location Belfast, United Kingdom About WANdisco WANdisco is shaping the future of data infrastructure with its groundbreaking LIVE DATA platform, enabling companies to finally put all their data to work for the business ? all the time, at any scale.
