Job Overview Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for talented Associate Software Developers/QA Analysts to join our team. We leverage Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver software applications that revolutionize the global business of insurance. We primarily develop using Microsoft technologies like .NET and SQL. Candidates with experience in C#, ASP.Net, SQL, Java, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS should anticipate facing less of a learning curve. We are very interested in finding the right team members and believe strongly that talented developers can bridge language or database gaps quickly. RESPONSIBILITIES * Being accountable to your Agile Scrum Team members and the organization to deliver high quality technical solutions to provide business value * Journey with your team on continual improvement through iterative software development cycles * Develop advanced coding techniques that improve the quality of software written * Collaborate with team members to self-manage business value based solutions from concept to market * Solicit customer feedback and improvements through participation in Sprint Reviews QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS JOB * Education: Ideally educated to degree level (BSc or BEng) or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline * Experience or training in industry standard professional development tools such as C#, ASP.Net, SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, and or JavaScript * Knowledge of the SDLC and QA processes * Excellent problem solving skills; strong logical reasoning and solution oriented * Genuine passion for programming * Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment * Experience or training with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies a plus WHO WE ARE * LEADING GLOBAL PROVIDER OF CLOUD-BASED INSURANCE SOFTWARE - Applied Systems develops the top two Insurance Agency/Broker Management software products in the world.
