Otis is currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager (ideally from the lift industry) - who can demonstrate experience in producing accurate two & three dimensional mechanical, architectural and schematic drawings using software within the Autodesk suite. The main responsibilities within this role include: Produce drawings of a high quality which meet Otis & Client expectations Produce drawings that comply with Otis and/or British standards, within time allocated and in line with project deadlines Provide support and assistance to other Drawing Office staff Take ownership/responsibility for relevant assigned projects Liaise with external customers, internal engineering team & factory Liaise with equipment manufacturers/suppliers as and when required Attend Design meetings with Sales team and/or Project Managers through the various stages of the project Attend site surveys as and when requested Attend weekly/monthly Drawing Office meetings Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures. To be fully conversant and compliant with all Environmental Health and Safety procedures. Complete quarterly ethics module as advised by BPO To fully comply with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety directives including but not limited to PPE, Accident Reporting, Cardinal Rules, RAMS, ACE As a Design Manager, you will: Essential A minimum of one years' experience of using Autocad 2010 or subsequent versions A good knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office software (must include Microsoft Word and Excel) Minimum of 5 GCSE passes of grade C or better, or equivalent Responsibilities Desirable Knowledge of BIM, Revit and/or Inventor Prior experience of working within the Construction (Commercial/Industrial) industry Prior experience of working on mechanical and/or electrical schematic drawings To be successful in this role you will: Possesses the desire and capability to produce work that is of a consistently high standard within a professional manner Has a flexible work attitude with the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to changing work requirements Work well as part of a team Must take initiative and control over assigned workload Keen eye for detail Must be able to problem solve without assistance/support from fellow colleagues What can we offer you?
