Job Description
What we're looking for: Are you eager to develop complex enterprise systems to make services run more effective, will you help us revolutionise our customer experience? We are looking for an Application Owner with a solid grasp of Mainframe technology, including: Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL and VSAM. Other technical skills such as CA-Easytrieve is preferred but not essential! We need people who won't accept doing the same thing day in and day out. This is an exciting opportunity for a 12 month Fixed-term contract (FTC) based in our Bromley Head Office. Who you'll be working with: Working in a strong team of 6 and sitting within Application Development and Maintenance (AD&M), we provide a number of services within Technology Services (TS), including Platform Engineering, Application Development and Maintenance as well as end to end testing to ensure high availability of systems. What you'll be doing: * Run and maintain overall technical solutions integrity of the application including integration with other applications and the supporting infrastructure * Develop and promote deep technical expertise, insights and thought leadership related to the application * Take technical ownership; Coordinate, guide and support the planning and delivery of changes, working with stakeholders and suppliers. * Experience of general insurance (preferred) * Develop and implement an assurance approach which provides confidence to partners and ensures that the value of changes will be achieved * Collaborate with Application Maintenance to deliver effective day to day application support and maximise the value of Application Maintenance to the Application Development team at Direct Line Group.
