Job Description

RoleSummary: Baker Hughes currently has an opportunity for an experienced Field Specialist- Drilling Fluids to provide solutions and support to our UK North Sea Drilling Operations team. EssentialResponsibilities: + Provideonsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running offluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specificproduct and practical recommendations for controlling fluid properties. + Maintainfluid properties on rig sites by testing fluid properties accurately. + Maintaininventory at customer well sites. + Provideeffective customer service by providing rig-site customers andcoordinators information regarding the progress atthe rig site and create/implement solutions to rig site problems. + Provideongoing support to assist operations in providing customers the mosteffective, environmentally safe drilling fluids available while optimising the well-bore construction process andmaximising customers' production. + Conductall business activities in accordance with BHGEHSE policies, Legal + Compliancerequirements and Culture Pillars. Qualifications/Requirements: + Bachelor graduated in faculty related todrilling oil and gas, chemicalsor have relevant industry experience. + Qualified and Accredited Drilling FluidsSchool with training and experience in measuring, testing, and supervisingthe running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis andspecific product and practical recommendations for controlling fluidproperties is essential. + Completed basic training on drillingfluids is essential. + Completed advanced drilling fluidstraining and other drilling relating courses is preferred. + Experience of working at the well site, ideally as Lead Mud Engineer or Drilling Fluids Engineer is essential. + Experience of working within North Sea environment is preferred. + Must have access to National and International Travel links, air or train and be prepared to mobilise on some occasions at short notice.
