Role Summary: Provide offshore and onshore Laboratory technical support to clients and the fulfilment of account requirements whilst ensuring all HSEQ requirements are met. Potential future career advancement within the company. Essential Responsibilities: + Offshore chemicalsampling, testing and analysis on an adhoc basis. + Onshore chemicalsampling, testing and analysis. + Chemical quality controltesting. + Support of technicalprojects. + Coordinate laboratorywork scopes, providing technical assistance to support customer accounts + Other ad-hoc dutiesand special projects as assigned. + Presenting analysisresults to customer account representatives. Qualifications/Requirements: + Degree qualification inChemistry or similar science would be beneficial + Experience of working offshorepreferable but willingness to undertake relevant training and travel offshore, approx 15 weeks per year is essential + Experience of working in achemical laboratory would be beneficial + Good awareness of HSE and QAstandards and practices + Awareness of chemical hazardsand general health, safety, environment and welfare considerations + Knowledge of various chemicaltesting methods, can be university knowledge or industry methods. + Knowledge of HSE and generalhousekeeping responsibilities within a chemical environment, particularly inrelation to the supervision of personnel + Knowledge of quality standardsrequired within a chemical environment + Skills in the use of MicrosoftOffice packages, particularly excel and powerpoint Desired Characteristics: + Communication skills, bothverbal and written + Analytical and Problem solvingskills + Report writing skills + Skilled in identifying processimprovements + Ability to work to strictdeadlines + Skills in the use of MicrosoftOffice packages, particularly excel + Skills in conductinglaboratory testing + Ability to apply mathematical calculationsto support tasks + Ability to work on owninitiative and as part of a wider team + Ability to be flexible + Ability to work safely andensure others work safely Locations: Aberdeen, Scotland This is your opportunity to learn more, do more, live the career you have imagined and be part of a truly diverse organization Baker Hughes, a GE company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
