Network Development Engineer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Network Services Group Reading, UK The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and support integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. At every level, our engineers have a significant technical and business impact designing, building and supporting innovative new systems to power our customer's business critical applications We are looking for Network Development/Support Engineers to build and support services that comprehensively model, provision, secure, scale and operate OCI networks. Network engineers will use the network automation to represent arbitrarily complex datacenter networks and subsequently build, interconnect and scale these networks. Network Operations will be able to centrally administer OCI's networks and automate responses to common operational problems using the network automation API. OCI service teams will be able to augment the rich data provided by the network automation to enable new scenarios. The primary focus of this individual will be on supporting the network infrastructure of our UK hosted cloud environments. Mandatory Qualifications: * Eligible for UK Government Security Clearance. * University degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or 5 years equivalent network engineering experience. * Experience working in a network operations role and in-depth network troubleshooting. * Hands on experience supporting the following platforms in an enterprise level environment/ISP * Cisco ASA & Nexus platforms * Juniper Firewalls and Routers * F5 LTM/GTM * Hands on experience supporting the following technologies in an enterprise level environment/ISP * BGP, OSPF and other internal routing protocols * MPLS, Dedicated circuits, Dark Fiber * IPSeC VPNs * TCP/IP, DNS * Extensive experience with scripting or automation - Python preferred. * Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions. * Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. * Ability to participate in an on-call rotation. Desired skills: * Experience working in a large ISP, enterprise network, or cloud provider environment. * Experience working with python for network automation and network configuration management. * Experience with governance, risk, compliance, and security matters including collaborating with internal and external parties during audits and other compliance related activities. * Experience with Agile Project Management. * Familiarity with network vendor interactions. * Certifications in Cisco CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIPSP, CCISP, or other data communication certifications. * Knowledge of Linux and Windows networking Position is location in Oracle's Reading Campus, Berkshire. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
