Job Description

Our client is an established manufacturer of bespoke automated machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Fitter. The successful candidate will be based at our client's production facility near Birmingham. The Role: Reporting to the production manager you will work alongside a team of experience multi-skilled fitters in order to assemble, test and install electrical control panels as required. Duties will include but is not limited to the following; * Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams * Assemble special purpose electrical control panels for automated machinery * Construct looms and install panels to machines * Electrical test, fault find and repair * Use of relevant hand tools * Assist with build of mechanical enclosures and fixing as required * Assist with some field / site work as and when required Candidate: The successful applicant will be apprentice trained electrical fitter / electrician ideally with a minimum 5 years electrical engineering experience. You will have previous experience in electrical fitting / control panel building for bespoke machinery. You will have good 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills and ideally you will have NVQ 3 or HNC in electrical engineering. Applicants with previous plc and / or robot experience skills will be advantageous but not essential. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday days 39 hours Benefits: Excellent basic salary+ OT 28 days annual leave Pension
