Job Description

Project Engineer The role: * * Baxter in Thetford is looking for an experienced Project Engineer, reporting to the Senior Project Manager to join the team and assist with the growth of the company. * * * Compile quality associated documentation (URSs / change controls / critical system drawings and system reference files). * Working closely with the Project Manager to plan and deliver projects from design through to construction and commissioning. Tasks will include management of project risk; resources; budget control and ensuring the project is completed on time to the required standards * Work closely with the purchasing department to support the tendering process * Act as a liaison between stakeholders/sponsors, designer and construction companies to ensure good communication of all activities * Manage day to day activities of the project * Assist with managing EHS requirements and sub-contractors * Provide technical and project leadership in multi skilled teams * Take part in design review meetings to promote innovation and discussion * Provide information that allows the PM to deliver reports and presentations for communication to the senior leadership team. About you: * An experienced project engineer with a background in mechanical/electrical/process engineering * Minimum qualification of HNC/HND in an engineering discipline * Exceptional communication skills * Have problem-solving and customer oriented attitudes * Knowledge of UK's GMPs and current industry pharmaceutical practice is preferred however FMCG and food manufacturing would be considered * Demonstrate experience in delivering projects from cradle to grave * Able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads for the needs of the business * Microsoft Project skills * AutoCAD familiarisation * * Who we are: Baxter touches millions of lives every day.
