Job Description
LNG Project Director - EPC As part of a strategic development review, KBR is currently looking to expand its LNG EPC execution capability within the Europe, Africa and Middle East area. Based in Leatherhead, reporting to the Senior Vice President for the region, the candidate will have a primary responsibility for the delivery of large and complex EPC projects having a TIC, typically in excess of $1billion. The qualified candidate will also have a broad range of prior experience in areas such as commercial, joint venture formation, technical, operations, and contract negotiations in the LNG industry. Other key aspects are; Senior professional with strong personal drive and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders. Position is independently accountable for a large staff or support arm of the organization or a single profit/loss or revenue centre, major product line, or support function. Assures safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success. Serves as prime point of contact between the client and company. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines. Assures project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems and requirements approved by the company. Proven project development and delivery of business objectives, ability to analyse and understand complex situations, and ability to develop, recommend and implement practicable solutions in accordance with world class industry standards. Experience and proven ability to work within and/or lead a cross-functional, matrix organization including technical, permitting, commercial, operations, project finance, economics, accounting, tax, insurance, external relations and related functions within a broader project team. May serve as a proposal manager on large pursuits, gaining executive approvals where required, through to final contractual negotiations. Skills typically required through the completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering and or business. Experience in LNG related projects at a Senior Project Manager and/or Program Director level. Train, develop & mentor the next generation of Project Managers Skills typically required through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and relevant industry experience.
