Job Description
Stantec are currently looking for an Assistant Transport Planner to join us in our busy London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and ambitious transport team that are situated in the vibrant and historical Clerkenwell design quarter in the heart of London. Our transport team work on a variety of exciting projects from smaller local proposals to larger national frameworks in both the private and public sectors. Our future pipelines are growing particularly in the development planning sector and we are leading on schemes such as London Healthy Streets. This role will provide you with significant opportunity for career progression and personal development, through the delivery of high value quality services to influential clients. This position will give you the opportunity to work within a passionate team of transport professionals which will offer you the chance to grow your skills set. On a day to day basis, you will be involved in the preparation of transport assessments and travel plans as well as undertaking junction modelling. You will be involved in conducting research to support planning and transport projects, including desktop research, policy review work and meetings with stakeholders and various external parties. To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and enthusiastic team player but critically, you will have a passion for transport planning and the ambition to take your career to the next level. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and experience: - Degree qualification in civil engineering, transportation, geography, economics or similar Excellent report writing skills and good levels of numeracy Excellent communication skills and confidence to attend client meetings etc. Experience of using TRICs database is an advantage Experience with Spreadsheets and/or transport modelling is desirable project management, such as managing and controlling budgets is an advantage For more info on this role, please get in touch with Eamon Cassidy from our Talent Acquisition team:- eamon.cassidy@stantec.com / 01189520295.
