Job Description
Group Details: We look to hire people who are comfortable in working with minimal supervision as part of a team that has consistently delivered ground-breaking and innovative solutions in one of the most exciting and fast-moving areas of the of the financial markets. We need people who are able to prioritize and can effectively communicate complex issues to non-technical team members. We need someone who has business experience in the Financial Industry, who can meet with our internal and external clients and talk confidently about our Cyber Security program, and help integrate our business needs with our Cyber Security needs. Job Responsibilities: * Build and customize security tools used by security team and other technology team members * Lead product selection efforts, including defining evaluation criteria and test plans. * Serve as an internal information security advisor and subject matter expert to the organization on various security initiatives. * Introduce best practices and principles to enable consistent delivery and enable alignment with long-term direction. * Collaborate with business units and corporate partners to ensure solutions are built in consistent with the organization's policies, programs, architectural recommendations, and information security standards * Understand the common types of cyber-attacks and countermeasures in the industry and engage with the business units to resolve within SLAs. * Develops tactical response procedures for security incidents. * Develop, build and implement a mature and robust set of metrics and reports. * Knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, web security, email security, identity and access management, incident management, incident response and cryptography. * Direct hands-on experience with next generation firewalls. * Experience with different method of intrusion detection and prevention * Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms. * Experience and good knowledge of Privileged Access Management platforms. * Automation experience in Python, PowerShell, and other automation tools. * Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices - NIST, CSA, CIS etc. * Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management. * Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols. * Detailed understanding of the TCP and IP protocol suites and ability to dissect and explain the contents of traffic and packets. * Strong critical thinking, deductive reasoning, prioritization and problem solving skills.
